Worship Team

Worship for us is Job #1. We devote a major part of our service to offering praise and thanksgiving. Our worship takes different forms:  singing, dancing, and liturgy.  Come and enjoy worshiping the L-rd together with us.

Worship & Outreach Dance

Dancers from Congregation Yeshuat Tsion

We worship the L-rd in dance at our services and take our dances around the city.

We love to dance for Yeshua in public places to show the joy we have in Him and to give those who are seeking spiritual answers a chance to talk with CYT people who love to share the Good News!

Outreach

Yeshua instructed us to get His message out and work to reach others to follow Him.  Yeshuat Tsion is committed to sharing the Good News with all people, with special emphasis on those in the unaffiliated Jewish community.  Our outreach team has gone out to parks to present worship dance and literature about Yeshua.  We anticipate doing more so in this coming year.  If you are intrigued with this kind of ministry, please contact us.

Prayer

Prayer Requests - We gather each Wednesday night for prayer at 5:45pm, please feel free to join us.

Oneg Ministry

1 Peter 5:9 - Use Hospitality to one another without grudging.

Hebrews 13:2 - Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

We are a mishpachah, a family, of believers.  We gather together to celebrate the L-rd, His mo'adim and each other.  Onegs are a time of feeding the body but also of feeding the soul.  As we serve each other, we in turn are fed.  The oneg ministry offers individuals the opportunity to use their gifts and talents of planning, decorating and food preparation to bring joy to our family.  The ministry provides an opportunity to grow relationships and to pray with one another.

Women's Ministry

The women at CYT are a mishpachah (family) who enjoy weekly fellowship, a monthly chavurah (with breakfast, worship and Bible study), and yearly activities such as the Ladies' Retreat at the Hideaway and the Ladies' Tea.  You are always welcome to join us!

Men's Ministry

Scripture calls on men to be a "band of brothers."  For many of us it is a tall order because our culture teaches us to ride alone, which is the last thing we really need to do.  Our men gather monthly at different homes for fellowship, food, prayer and sharing.  These are great times for mutual building up.  We look forward for more opportunities to do so and welcome you to join us.

Youth Ministries

At CYT, our goal is to raise up the next generation of Messianic believers in Yeshua.

We do this through a three-pronged approach:

In Shabbat School, the teachings range from fundamentals of the faith, to apologetics, discussion of contemporary issues and how they relate to Scripture. For integration within the larger body of the Congregation, the youth assist in Torah Service, worship, sound, and break-down, where ever help is needed. Finally, the youth are encouraged in outreach and creativity through drama, dance and service to the community at large.

Torah Service Ministry

Our devotion to Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) does not invalidate our need to follow G-d's timeless principles spelled out in the Torah. Yeshua stated, "I did not come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete.," (Matthew 5:17), and again, " If you love Me, keep My commandments." (John 14:15).

The fact that He fulfilled the Torah does not mean that it is irrelevant to us. On the contrary, the Torah and the rest of Scriptures are invaluable for sound, godly living (2 Timothy 3:16).   We seek to be Torah-friendly but not Torah obsessive (consumed with a legalistic devotion to minutiae; Matthew 23:24).
